                   GIUKCHE2 Scenario. UK Demolition.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Commander Rick Bolt came groggily aware someone was shaking him as
he tried to get some well-deserved rest. His eyelids opened slowly and he
looked up at his adjutant, standing next to the bunk.
"The Admiral has requested your presence in the briefing room
Commander" said Lt. Jon Biengo, "There is an important mission being
discussed and you are the man slated to lead it."
Wondering why he couldn't just get some sleep, Bolt crawls into his
uniform of the day and staggers to the hallway, his eyes feeling like glue.
He enters the briefing room and is reminded of a wake. It doesn't look
like fun. The admiral pulls on his pipe and looks at Bolt with a sinister
gaze. "We're all a little light on sleep, fella, but you can get a few zs
 on the copter" he says.
It's three in the morning at Kinloss Airfield, U.K. The war has
been going badly. The Red Hordes under the leadership of General "Che"
Chekov had taken Iceland and Norway and were poised to invade England. The
F14 Tomcat shipment from America was overdue. Things could not get much
 worse.
"Commander" drawls the Admiral, "We have an important meeting for
you to attend. The Philippine Sea is now on station off the Norwegian
Coast, 19 nm from the Slava class cruiser Chervona Ukraina and General Che
has requested your presence to discuss terms for ending this bloody
affair. There is a Naval Seahawk waiting on the tarmac to ferry you over
there. Your orders are to negotiate a ceasefire while our reinforcements
 arrive from America."
"Failure to achieve an agreement will require you to take command
of four surface groups, including three carrier groups. You are to proceed
to destroy any Red shipping you encounter and form up a landing party to
invade Orland. Use any of the air cover forces assigned to you at Kinloss,
 London or St. Mawgan."
"Intelligence has reported several strong Red battle groups
patrolling off Iceland. Che has sworn to take out Kinloss if the
negotiations break down. As you know we cannot afford to lose Kinloss. It
 would be a loss."
"The copter is waiting Commander" said the adjutant.
You start to think of a few questions as the Admiral starts for
the door... "The briefing is over Commander" says Admiral Klangh, "Get any
information you need from the intelligence brief."
A thought hits Bolt like a bolt. All he can think of is never,
 never, trust Che.

 NATO MINIMUM VICTORY CONDITION :
2 Kirov ships must be sunk and
1 Kiev carrier must be sunk.
 NATO TOTAL VICTORY CONDITION :
    1 Austin class ship and
1 Iwo Jima class ship must be on station for 2 hrs, at Orland.
 USSR MINIMUM VICTORY CONDITION :
Kinloss base must be completely devastated.
 USSR TOTAL VICTORY CONDITION :
London and St. Mawgan must be reduced to rubble.

This scenario is made for the Blue side only. The ship formations have all
been set, but no air patrols. The Iwo Jima group path indicates the final
point required for Total NATO victory condition. This scenario was inspired
by the Battle of Britain (very loosely) recently seen on the Discovery
Channel. If you listen closely, in the beginning you can hear Bolt's Copter
 leave for the negotiations.
